"New post"-function too eager ...

Whenever I log on the forums, every thread is marked with bold font and the "New post" icon, even though there aren't any new posts in them since the last time I visited. How come? I find this confusing and irritating, since I have to manually check threads to see if there are any new responses.

I've tried to use the "Mark forum as read" function, but it doesn't help. Could tech support be so kind and check this out for me?

Using Firefox 3.5.7 on Windows Vista by the way.

I don't know what tech support will say, but in my direct experience it happens when I haven't logged on for a day or so.

This is weird. I haven't been logging on to GC since Tuesday or something, and it worked! However, when I logged on right now, a couple of hours or so afterwards, it was back to the non-functional normal ...
