Yah, I don't want to see them deleted since I have gone long stretches without logging on due to personal issues. Archiving them for access later might be a good way to go, course that takes storage space. You could send the person an email that they have an allotted amount of time to log on just to keep the account archived. If they're not interested in keeping their profile here then delete it is. I do agree with the view that if there isn't any info in the profile, it's probably a good bet it wasn't used much in the first place except for nefarious reasons anyway. |

IMO I think after 90 days of inactivity the profile should be moved to another place say like inactive or something along those lines. Then an e-mail sent to that person. If they then don't log in w/in another 30 days delete them. so that gives then 4 months to do do something. There are way to many profiles on here without any info on them or the standard I'll tell you later, so tell me when is later, lol? Again just my opinion.

I absolutely agree with bayridgebabe. How much time does it take, after all, to fill in a profile with even just the basics rather than a string of "I'll tell you later." I love cubs who are able & willing to communicate, but when they don't even want to talk about themselves, I get a serious disconnect

Yes, we agree that we need to delete a lot of inactive profiles. We are going to move goCougar to a U.S based hosting company very soon as most of our members are located in this region. At this time, we will also purge a lot of old profiles while the site is offline.

Or just send an "Auto Alert" after 3 months warning them, then after 6 Months a second "Auto Alert" saying they are going into an "Inactive" group. After that build a member directory for InActive users. To be very honest I have checked out a few sights and never ever went back and I have long forgotten about them. |

I visited a cub's profile who hadn't been active for a while, sent him a message stating that if he ever visited the site again to message me, and I had a reply from him the same day. I feel that if someone doesn't delete their profile is because they are still trying to find what they're looking for. Maybe they are involved with work or everyday life, like it happens to me a lot. I vote for not deleting them.
