Usernames

Hi. I've noticed that usernames are often not part of menus and directories such as the Friends and Friends requests. I think that would be an obvious thing to add.

Also, on the rate-a-picture, there's absolutely no way (that I can find) to learn whose picture it is that you're rating. There have been some that I found fascinating enough to want to view the person's profile. But I can't find a way to do it.

And add me as a user who finds the absence of location listings very frustrating here. These should be on everything since you don't have much chance of hooking up with somebody from halfway across the country. Both the City and State should be listed too. In another posting here the example of Wilmington, United States was cited. Well, there are multiple Wilmingtons across the country. There are a lot of Louisvilles too. This is something that really needs work!

If it's a picture you find interesting and might want to meet the person... click on it, don't rate them and it goes to their profile.

I agree with you on all of the above. I also can't figure out how to put my profile name on here under my user name. The directions they sent me tell you to click on something that is not even listed in the choices. But the location stuff has to be the biggest headache of them all. I would think that they would fix some of these gripes so that they could attract more paying customers...

If you want to allow other members to identify you by your GoCougar screen name then you can display it under your forum username:

1) Click "User CP" in the blue menu bar, this is your user control panel.

2) Click "Edit Profile" from the menu of option on the left hand side of page.

3) Enter you GoCougar Screen name in the "Custom User Title" field

4) Save changes.

You are correct, this wasn't working properly until recently. However, the Custom User Title field is now accessible.

Locations do appear as long as the city and country fields in your profile have been completed. Many members leave the city blank and that's why their location is not displayed.
