Default Starting a new relationship

Yesterday i was chatting to a women on this site, whos name i will not mention, and she said she doesn t have an hiv test when starting a sexual relationship with a new partner, she uses condoms,

I'd just wanted to mention this as a while ago i found out a mate of mine has just been told he's hiv+ and to make the situation even worse he has passed it on to his wife, who didn t know he was cheating her, this was brought on as he couldn't control himself and thought it would be ok to have a fling, and be one of the lads,

Even if you read this and think it's ok to play around just think of all the people you will hurt and lives you could destroy,

Aids\Hiv is not a laughing matter and still theres no cure for this, and if we all took a little think how we would feel if we passed this on to somebody???that could be worse then having it yourself

So i say i was shocked to hear that when starting a new relationship people dont a take a small test which could prevent this,

So i say to all you before you sleep with a new partner please take a test,if you respect each other you can wait for the passion,

And for all those people on here who have one night stands and a condom splits think about having a test at your local std clinic, asap.

A blog would be good.

I don't have sex with random people. I know I don't have any type of disease and if I were to start a relationship I would make sure that I know that guy really well before I get any type of intimate with him. I'm willing to show proof that don't have anything and I would hope the guy can provide this too.

There is 1 BIG problem with hiv. It doesn't show up in blood tests at once You test your blood - it's OK. After 2 weeks it's still OK! It will appear FOR SURE - but after 3 months! Yeah, THREE long months during which you might give it to others without knowing you are h+.

I don't have it and don't wanna get it.

So, please either use safe tools , or "jump into river" with your partner after 3 months being together. Either he/she will understand THERE IS NO CURE for hiv, or you should rather say: "bye-bye"

This was the great thing about being in the Air Force. They require everyone to get tested for EVERYTHING. Then they continue to do blood tests when your physicals come up.

Its definitely no excuse for going out and having unsafe sex, but I agree 100% that knowing about yourself and your partner make you a lot safer. Blood tests are relatively inexpensive, and if you haven't been monogamous with a partner that you know is completely clean its the only way to go.

Thats awesome. Where I lived in Boston we had a Coastie station about 2 blocks from the house. I lived in the North End right near the harbor, so I always saw the Cutters.

It was an auxiliary station so there wasn't a lot of activity in and out, but there were definitely some cool moments when I was walking down by the harbor and one went by.
