I've been stood up, lied to, lead on, you name it. It sucks and I'm seriously starting to think that I have more balls than most men do. Haha.. But, the only time I've ever backed out on anyone was after finding out he'd already had a girlfriend.
If people want to cheat, that's their business, but I refuse to play a part in anyone's cheating. It's wrong to me, and I just don't want to hurt anyone, nor be a party to it.
ETA: To the OP, if you'd really like to try again with this guy, I'd just explain everything to him, apologize for what happened, and see if he won't be understanding about it. If not, then just let it go. It's all you can do, IMO.
