More women becoming hooked on internet porn

More women are getting addicted to internet porn as a method of coping with anxiety.
According to the UK's main porn counselling service, Quit Porn Addiction, one in three clients are struggling with their own porn use.
Founder and counsellor Jason Dean said that two years ago there were no women who showed up to be counselled.
While more than six out of 10 women say they view web porn, one study found that 17 percent of women describe themselves as "addicted".
Dean told AP that getting his first female contacts about two years ago was fairly unusual but now he gets inquiries from 70 women a year. In the old days it was because their partners had the problem, now it is is because they do.
He said that there was the same pattern of exposure, addiction, and desensitisation to increasingly hardcore porn. It reaches a point where women become more like men in their attitudes to relationships.
The only thing different between male and female porn addicts is that women feel more guilty about it.
Dean said that porn addiction is seen as a male problem - and therefore not acceptable for women. Women feel that what they are doing "is bad, dirty, wrong and they're often unable to get beyond that."
He said that after a while the PC becomes an erogenous zone. The more you keep trying to put porn out of your mind, the more it keeps popping back in.

That's a really interesting clip Cherry, especially the part about respect. I think for a lot of men, the appeal of porn is that it's "dirty" and represents what they're not allowed to do in real life. Women are more interested in fantasy that doesn't include degrading women, so I can see that a specific porn channel for women would take off.

I think that what women consider 'degrading' isn't always seen that way by men, who see it as exciting and sexy - a least while they're hitting it. And I'm fine with that until men condemn women for their adventurous sexuality. This I find hypocritical in the extreme.

Sorry I, don't see what is wrong with pornography.

Your animal yet your human. You were born with hormones and you are of course sexual with either female or male depending on your gender or the same sex. The human body is an art form not a sin. Even tho we do sin with are deepest desire's to do thing's some time's are own mother's wish we would have not done that they have possibly already have done themselves. Self gratification the stimulation of the mind from the pleasure of having sex being able to be full filled when there is no one else there that one may deem worth of having intercourse with. The enjoyment of being happy but yet noticing some where along the line it is not the same with out the attachment of having another in bed to enjoy the pleasure you both could share together. The best part not going insane or wanting to subjugate some one against there will to do it with. For instance men or women or mate's who do not wish to have sex with there significant other. Porn can be useful to those who do not wish to traverse down the road of adultery.

Yeah. Pornography is defined as "the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement". By that definition, some people might even define sexy_cougar's avatar as "porno"... porno really is in the eye of the beholder.

I, agree only bad porn like the people don't mix.

All it is two people who agree to **** for $$$.

Some people or married people film there own sex act's in bed.

If you don't like the way the person look's or the other person look's that there doing it with your just not gonna get into it.

It's just art is all it is and that is what sex is. No need to be ashamed of your own body.
