Hi,
I've just had a breathtaking experience going through a truly phenomenal thread by
'laine175 titled
'OK here's a question'. Its quite a long thread and a lot has been said.
I just want to share my experience.
I've always been very playful by nature. I recall an incident with like minds in my final year at college.
We were generally clowning around and having a noisy and hilarious time. One of our lecturers was passing by and he made a solemn comment:
You guys are growing
down!
When I got married, it was the same. My playful, happy-go-lucky nature that attracted my spouse eventually turned to an irritation.
You don't act like a man! You need to be
firmer, more
assertive and
take charge!!
Herein lies the crux of the matter
IMHO (
... I think I'll have to pay you, Cherryaa!
)
Most younger ladies want their man to
be in control, to
be tough,
hard,
macho and sometimes
rough!
They don't appreciate the sensitive nature of guys like me and tend to put down our
soft, relaxed and
playful nature as being
effeminate and
unambitious.
Mature ladies on the other hand have
'been there and done that' and they've generally seen that the
heady, tough, macho hormone usually has
painful and unacceptable side effects.
For me, we eventually separated after having an adorable daughter (as you can see in my photo)
I've since had wonderful relationships with older ladies who take me for who I am and love me for it.
I guess this is why I believe strongly that I'm
hardwired for maturity (
... many thanks, HoustonCougar!)
