12 years is nothing, but with him @ 18 & you @ 30 well that 12 years might make a BIG difference. As for your friend, tell her to !!@##$%&*#!. it's "your" life not hers. If that means cutting her out of your life, then do it. You don't need negative people of people that are considered to be your friends to put you down. There will always be people who just don't understand the O/W Y/M relationship thing. Be careful, be very careful because @ 18 I doubt he knows what he really wants & you are too good to be true (right now) for him. Enjoy him while you can & hope it lasts for as long as you want it to last.

That's quite a small age gap relationship, i wonder if your friend is a tad jealous, maybe she feels that your new boyfriend is going to take you away from her.

I'd remind her that she's supposed to be your friend, and that you are tiring of the negativity. if she cannot respect that, then she doesn't respect you, it's then time to go your separate ways, I believe, as all attempts will have been futile.

I, really would not worry about what she has to say. Your friend's can make there own observation's and will undoubtly will speak there own mind. Your friend's will either understand or they just won't. From the sound's of what you just wrote she maybe jealous as mentioned by another.

Just enjoy your time with this younger man. I, hope tho also your younger man know's your not serious about getting married any time soon. In any case it's up to either of you to decide where to take this relationship. Anyone who want's to fuss over it can just go stick it.

Enjoy your life it's your's to enjoy , explore and share with that some one.
