Default how do cougars feel about open ended relationships?

Just wanting some opinions. Is it possible for you ladies to have a no strings attached relationship with a cub?

I've read profiles and many ladies are looking for a serious thing, while I am looking for a fling. The reason I don't want anything serious is because I am 21 years old and don't want to feel committed. I figure I'll have time for that later. But it seems to me as though I won't be able to find that here

So I guess as a final word, if given the chance and the right guy, would you have an open ended relationship?

Regardless of age, women tend to be more emotinally attaching than men.
You would do well, as you have, to be honest about wanting experience over relationship.
I am 50, looking 42 so I am told, and I would prefer a man in his 30's who is more settled.

This is my main concern, I feel that women have a bit more trouble separating emotions from plain sex.

Yes, I'd agree with you, for me anyway. Just be clear with the person up front. College towns often do best with this type of preferred relationship...er, if you call it a relationship. <smile>

I am no female, but I think if you want this type of relationship then you may want to hit up the bars and clubs as I bet the older women that go to such places will be more down with such a relationship. I think the older women here are more looking for a younger guy that wants more of a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship than anything else.

Even though I don't consume alcohol, I do go to bars and clubs for the dancing and live music that is offered. Just because a woman is in such places is no guarantee either that she is out prowling for a "fling." You must engage in conversation and get a feel for where the person is coming from. Just keep it honest like you are doing.

I think you have good perception jurupa! on the b/f - g/f thing.

Even if its a "friend with benefits" relationship, most people (this includes males) want some level of relationship or understanding. It would be hopeful that you want experience beyond just sexual. there is much more to learn from a mature woman than sex.

I agree. But in all of the online profiles that I have seen from older women looking for younger men only one clearly stated she wanted a no string relationship and in talking to her (She actually sent me a message), I found out that she was marred with kids and wanted some side action with a younger guy. I found her myspace page and she made some lame ass excuse to stop talking to me.

I know that not every single person at the bar/club is not looking for a NSA relationship (unless its a sex bar/club). I am just saying that is the most likely place to find them in real life.

Thank you, you may be surprise where I learned such things.

The whole friends with benefits thing cracks me up because you might as well date the person casually. As far as older women goes, some guys can't take in or handle the things they can get/learn from an older woman.

I'd have to say there are Cougars who are interested NSA situations. Persoanlly, I'm one of them. I was lucky enough to find one friend thatwe had a great comfortable thing going for nearly two years. He moved on when he was ready and I was fine with that. Sadly, I have not been able to fnd another friend like that here in my neck of the woods.

Not all women want a relationship, or even a full emotional attachment. At this point in my life, I really don't want anyone feeling obligated to me or have to be obligated to anyone else. I'd like to find a comfortable "when it works" thing....

You don't build up a relationship instantaneously! It always starts with "it may work" or can simply stay as a friendship. No difference from not wanting an emotional attachment and remaining casual. All start the same, some relationships blossom, others simple fade away in a whisper.
