As much as I intended never to date anyone that was not local or even spend any time chatting with anyone from out of state, I went and broke my own rules. I don't even know how this happened but, am I ever glad that it did! He lives in New Jersey.

This Friday night, I am meeting for the first time, the man I have been emailing and chatting to for hours each week since July 4th weekend which was not that long ago. It feels so right, and we are so happy talking together about anything and everything. He makes me laugh. He's a romantic sort, a musican/composer, music teacher in his early thirties which is the age that I prefer. This is not his first age gap relationship as he was seriously involved for four years when he was in his twenties with a woman in her early fifties. His band is playing here this weekend & he has to leave the next afternoon for California. We will just have enough time for a meal and a good talk before I put him back on the plane. He is coming back here right after that trip out to see his family.

What feels right about this is that he is coming from his heart, and not his
you know what. It's really noticeable. I feel like I am getting a complete person, and not just hormonal reaction from a good looking male. Certainly, there is sexual chemistry, but it seems much more than that, and we both know it. We are blown away by finding each other. He tells me how thankful he is, and I believe him.

Anyway, I just wanted to share because I know how it feels to be waiting for a long time for the right person to come along. And sometimes, they don't show up in the ways that we expected. Keep believing that when the time is right, it will happen. Keep your heart open, and wish me luck! I am one happy woman.
