Older Women/Younger Men

I posted this on my blog some months ago, and got a few great responses, but now that we have a forum, I'm hoping to get more ideas on the subject. Please feel free to post yours.

Is it really only about sex? What are your thoughts?

Why is it more acceptable for older men to be with younger women, than it is for older women to be with younger men? Is there something "wrong" with women who date younger men or vice versa? Can a Older Woman/Younger Man couple have a "meaningful" relationship? Or is it purely sexual for both the man and the woman? I ask this because this seems to be the common perception out there among the general public. I obviously have my own opinions on the subject or else I wouldn't be here... (I personally believe ow/ym can and do have successful, fulfilling, meaningful, lasting relationships), but I'm hoping some of you will share your thoughts as well. I look forward to reading ideas from both men and women here.

I think the stigma has been all of those movies we've watched throughout the years. As far as you stating that it is more acceptable for older men with younger women -- when I see that, I automatically think "golddigger"; but that's just me.

You have to admit, the 'norm' has been that if an older women is with a younger man, the relationship tends to be focused on sex. Not to say that feelings don't get involved and there could, quite possibly, be a forthcoming long lasting relationship in it. I say that it really depends on the couple and what they want out of it.

At the risk of generalizing, older women are better girlfriends across the board: more stable, more interesting, more class, less prone to drama. The sex does tend to be better, but that's just one factor.

Speaking for myself, now that I've dated a couple of older women, the young ones tend to get on my nerves.

Its SO common now to see an older hot looking women with a young hottish guy that society is getting pretty used to it....The old man with the bucks with the young 20's girl doesn't even get a bat of an eyelash ....so shall we Cougars Prevail , lol

The main reasons I have tended to date older women are that generally they are more relaxed/confident which means they are more fun in all aspects of a relationship.

I believe it has more to do with the roles placed on both sexes inside a relationship. Up until recently, by that I mean the last 100 years or so, the man in the relationship is supposed to be more weathered and worldly. Women are supposed to be more youthful. We can see now a days that those roles don't have to apply for relationships to work. That coupled with the "40 is the new 30" idea.

I have always found older women sexy, stable, with less hang ups.
I get hit on a lot by younger women sometimes a bit too young but it always has way too many strings.
But as long a we make that connection young or old women and a gift and love to love em esp on cold nites LOL wink

I love older women I always have and always will there is just something about them that turns me on plus they are so much more sexy and sinsual and they know what they want and know how to take care of and treat a younger man and not to mention that they are much more full of life and passion
