Online VS Real Life meetings

Sorry barb, can't find his profile but if you're getting warning bells, pay attention: I heard them too but ignored them, then remembered them looking back and wondered how I'd been so oblivious. I *thought* he and I were emotionally involved but it was a pack of bull doo-doo!

like he's full of it to me. If he disappears that's a clue, if he talks sex then gets mad when you won't participate that's another hint if he has different names that's a hint, if he lies about silly things like his band's name or where they played that's a hint. So my question is how many hints do you need to know you're being scammed in some way shape or form?

Perhaps it's hard for me to understand WHY they do this? What's the point? I swear I get the feeling sometimes that many of them have a gang of friends around them when they are communicating with us and they are all laughing at the desperate old women who want them...

I just don't know if I even Believe there's anyone out there that's serious about this. It's very disheartening.

idk about many of them but I'd bet that there are a few who have tried to ensnare an older woman with an audience of their friends around. I can't be certain of why some of them do it but an ego boost would be one guess and a power trip could be another.

Yes, some of them DO do this. I know this for a fact, because a roommate of one of the guys who used to be on here told me that the guy who was on here called him over to watch this woman on cam taking off her clothes and what-not (won't go into the what-nots on here). He said its a very common thing with college guys, for them to call their friends in to watch. I am sure it is an "ego thing" for the guy. Just one more reason why I will never do anything on cam (if I had one, which I don't) that I wouldn't want the entire world to see.

Barbcast, I realize the guy isn't on the forums, but you can still tell us his name. Most of us talk to guys from the main side that never make it to the forums. The few that ARE on the forums are usually the decent ones.

I guess that the reason why I choosed to keep my profile blank and with no picture, is just this fact that most of the ladies who are users of the site are located far or very far away from my location. It is practically an obstacle for a 1 on 1 rendezvous and plans of keeping it LTR. I'm quite limited by this fact, so I just read the threads and the blogs and from time to time tease one of you ladies with my loony sense of humour. Wish you the best flowers.
