I have had a 7yr relationship with someone 30yrs younger and we have been a part for the last three years. Our parting did not end bad and still friends but his job took him to another place. It was a great relationship and it proves ow/ym can work.

My longest relationship with an older woman was 2 years, and we weren't really monogamous so i don't know if it counts....

Well my longest doesn't compare to Lynda's or Luna's but I am still fairly new to "cougardom". My longest was 7 months and the guy was 23 at the time. He broke it off and really never told me why. But I suspect it's because he really does want to settle down and start a family. Yes, I know that is really rare for someone so young, but that is what he wants. We still talk. Maybe someday he will come to his senses and realize he should be with me, haha!

why do i see a pattern with the ladies relationship where by the guy breaks it of for a stupid reason? if they want to get involved they should have the balls to carry the commitment and not chicken out . i personally thnk that if you get in to anything carry it out till the end . fair enough if you dont get on u dont get on . but if you do enjoy and have all kinds of fun.

Mine was a year and like ww we split because he wanted to start a family...he now has 2 very young children and a young wife and is very unhappy....we still talk but to be fair to him he is trying to stick it out!!! I on the other hand....am happy lol oh and he was 29 I was 45!!!

I was 44 when I met a guy of 29 - we had a good relatonship and within 6 months of meeting I became pregnant giving birth to our son 4 days after my 45th birthday - the dad was 30 and becoming a dad had not been top of his wish list! We were together for 7 years altogether before we separated which was a mutual decision.

3 years, we started dating when she was 31, I was 17, it was great but she got to the stage where she wanted kids and at just 20 years old I was nowhere near ready to start a family(I'm still not ready 4 years on lol) so we drifted apart, we're still friends though.
