Very clever Nigerian scammer in our midst...

I think I got another scammer...He hit me up for money today....same thing...long, intense declarations of love and romance, and I'm the only one and on and on, and wanting to be open, I accepted it and enjoyed it, but I had my suspicions, especially since his spelling did not reflect growing up in the midwest, but more like a British education. Then, when he called, I knew he wasn't from the states, or of irish descent, or british...it actually sounded middle eastern, and he called me Katy, which is indicative that he ain't who he said it was..so, I was prepared, trying to be open in case I was wrong, but when he started this morning, I knew before he said it...I said to myself, "Here it comes." I chalk this up to experience....I figure the gorgeous man whose pictures I have is out there somewhere, and screw the damn nigerian! or senegalian or whatever the hell they really are.... He didn't get my money and though I'm disappointed, I'm not crushed. As a matter of fact, perhaps the lads with more honest agendas can learn from that *******. Say a lot of sweet nothings gentlemen. LOL

Gypsy was he from the Cougar site? If he is would you please give his name and anything else you know about him so the rest of the ladies can be on the lookout for him. Sorry it happened to you but thank you for posting.

I agree, please give us his name and stuff so we can be warned. I have my suspicions about a person who emailed me from this site and want to know if my hunches are correct and other people need to be forwarned.

Done...he's been suspended from the site....Its been 24 hours just about, and I feel a bit worse for wear. He contacted me again via yahoo late last night but I was asleep...so he left a message. I responded that we must meet face to face, here in Denver, because I need to know for sure before I can proceed any further with him....

Dump the dude and stop responding to him gypsy before it gets really really nasty. I read some stuff over on the blogs, where a few of the women had contact with these kinds of guys. When the women called them out on their little scams things turned REALLY nasty and got downright evil. To the point of having their kids and/or this country threatened. Don't go there. Stop talking to the fool!

Okay...I haven't seen those posts....I dont' think I want to..but I'll take your advice, wetnwild, because you've been here a heck of a lot longer than I.
Fortunately, he is already suspended with that username anyway.

Maybe it's time to create "sticking" thread in this forum: "List of scammers here" and just glue new scammers? (Site Admin, are you reading this? )

I think that would be a good idea except for one thing. If they get reported to admin then they should be banned! Which means their profile is no longer valid. Of course they can always come back under a new profile though.
