lunamor: bravery because of i.e. different cultures. For example we nod top-down when we mean 'yes' and left-right when 'no'. Bulgarians do opposite way.

Hnnh -I'd say long-distance relationship is a helluva lot harder than any cultural difference.
But to each their own.

A long distance relationship is definitely possible but one or the other has to be prepared to make the trip across the ocean. You can get to know each other by internet and phone but meeting face to face has to be in the plans.

Been there done that for a year. Doesn't work, but makes for great friends and learning about other cultures. Wouldn't call it brave, I call it total frustration mode. Not worth the stress.
