For the Cougars - a question of age!

Just to give us fellas on here some idea (because us men are slow at picking up such things) I thought I'd raise a poll on the age old question of how old a man are you looking for.

maybe what you might should have asked is what the maximum age spread a woman is comfortable with.....just because a guy is in his 40s doesn't mean a cougar of say 50 wouldn't be interested, so don't get your coat on yet .

I like men! A specific age isn't important, but personality and outlook on life definitely are. In theory I could be interested in a same-age guy IF he's fit and doesn't have an old fart mentality... in practice I've yet to encounter one. It seems that men generally age rather badly compared to women. So in a way, dating a younger guy actually feels more like dating a peer, because the same age men actually seem older than me.

Note to myself: Never buy slippers, a cardigan or a pipe. Refuse membership to gentlemans club (even if offered for free), keep going to the gym every day... Shouldn't be that difficult...

hahah desertfish! Slippers, cardigans and pipes are only clothes...I was talking about the guy inside of them - THAT's what usually what goes to hell in a handcart first.

I know what you meant lunamor, but the way a man behaves and dresses himself is usually an indication of how he feels inside. Actually, this makes me think of one of my uncles: he's 65, wears nothing but jeans and trainers, plays football and basketball with people 30 years younger than he is and still drives his car like a boy racer. If you'd see him and someone told you he just turned 50 you'd probably believe it. If I can manage to be like him 30 years from now I'll be a very happy bunny.

Yes, Lunamor you've got it. Something terrible happens to some men as they age. And that something is the loss of interest in women, it seems they think they know all about us without ever listening to our story. Somehow we are all alike, and we are all to blame for their unhappiness.

Desertfish, the work to be done is to shake off the disappointment of failed relationships, except your part in the failure and stay amused with the undeniable complexity of the female mind. And remember if all the women you're dating act the same...you are picking them! This is the trick to staying "young at heart".
