My 23 yr old boyfriend is being shunned by his friends for dating me...

Well I'm somewhat surprised his friends aren't backing him 100% on this. Being a young guy and having many friends who I have talked to about this type of thing I saw first hand how accepting they can be when it comes to a situation such as yours. Fortunately I know I have true friends and perhaps your man's friends can't see past something as trivial as an age gap within a romance. The only thing I can say is maybe his friends will come around and stop acting like grade school kids. Don't let it get you down, as long as your man sticks around and is happy with the relationship, stay positive and maybe things will change. I wish you luck

My initial reaction after reading the original post is that her situation sounded a lot like something my sister went through and it had nothing to do with age. My sister's (well, now ex) boyfriend's friends gave him a "it's her or us" ultimatum shortly after they began dating and while they "tolerated" the situation for a while, when he moved in with my family they completely ditched him. The reason? Well the best I could tell was that he had been a party animal and my sister didn't tolerate it, so they (his friends) saw her as a succubus. She was 17 and he was 19 when all this happened. So don't feel bad, it happens to young girls too!!!
