curious as to why this is the "original" ... what's the "non-original"?

Sealion, this one has been planned for the last 5 to 6 months and a couple of the ladies decided they had rather do things on their own so we just wanted to let people know this meetup is still very much alive and well.

Sealion, there is only one meetup, there is no other party or event programmed by the other ladies (aka Cherry and I). We are not interested in organizing any group activity of any kind.

Cherry and I *WILL* be in together in Manhattan for a week in October. We made an announcement of our visit - and of our interest in meeting New Yorkers or other visitors during our stay - via the blogs so as avoid confusion.

But there's absolutely no connection anywhere. Completely separate, completely different.

Hope that clears things up for you, or anyone else who (understandably) finds themselves scratching their head at the reference to "original" - ladies, be as original as you desire... there's no competition, there's no comparison, there's no connection.

I believe this was planned far in advance of you and Cherry being there. It is You that decided you did not want to be part of the original party. I Believe you can have a good time by yourselves, I don't believe the others ladies mind a bit and probably prefer it that way. But like I said it was original before you struck out on your own.

Well Sealion I am sure no-one needs to explain the meaning of original to you. All it is referring to in relation to this particular event is that it was there 'from the beginning'. It is not suggesting that anything else is a derivative of it although people may choose to construe it that way.

That is so right luna, there is NO Competition, NO comparison, & NO connection @ all. It just so happened that you decided to branch out on your own & now you have Cherry to accompany you. I didn't want anyone who might be coming to think otherwise or misconstrue that you might be there as well. All I wanted to do was set the record straight & shoot from the hip (being totally honest). Also, I didn't want anyone that might meet the two of you to think Lynda, or I would be a part of your NYC visit. That's it, nothing more.
