It's important to think about what we type more than say usually (not always) since things like intonation, facial expression, mannerisms and posture which would be indicators of irony or sarcasm are entirely absent whilst typing.

But I am sure you already know that, it's just a friendly reminder so that the former does not repeat itself. While I found the thread amusing, I am sure you did not...
