hi i just moved to nyc and unlike houston from where i moved i find it very difficult to meet people in this city..anybody knows the places to hang out in nyc

Sorry to contribute to an old topic, but here are some great clubs to check out in NYC. It really depends on what you want, so I'll provide some neat clubs that I've always enjoyed going to whenever I'm in Manhattan.

Cielo (18 Little W 12th St, between 9th & Washington - Best club in NYC. Hands down.)
205 Club (205 Chrystie St - the spread of cougars is usually very good here)
Marquee (289 10th Ave - usually has LOTS of cougars, look for ladies nights)

I live in Greenwich Village and suggest you get the Voice (a free newspaper) for a good overview of what's what and what's where -- having lived in the Village for a couple of decades now, I can promise you that just sitting in Washington Square Park will be fun. Keep smiling!

this is what i hate about this site, firstly no one here wants to help anyone and if one guy decides to help then he gets killed for his use of words and his opinion..its almost like all the women here and just sitting and waiting to pounce on someone as soon as they write anything

I asked a valid question which he still hasn't answered. I wanted to know if he meant selection, age range etc. the use of the word spread makes it seem as if he considered them a type of buffet. Seems to me you are the one with the problem.

Sorry, I haven't been on the site in a while. By "spread", I meant the selection. They vary in age, looks, etc.
