Default Howdy!

Howdy everyone!

Just wanted to give a brief hello. I am a Texan living it up out in LA. If you see my profile one could easily guess why I moved to LA

Hope everyone had a nice week! I'm playing the song (Everybody's working for the weekend) in my head.

Welcome again Douglas....you'll do well here in Los Angeles with that friendly outgoing personality and good looks!

Since you're into the arts, you might like hanging out in the NoHo Arts District, just over the hill from Hollywood and down the street from Universal Studios. The HAHA Club is a cool little place to hang out for local comedy talent, and there's a few cool little stage theaters around these parts. (Did I just say "these parts"?...I think the Southern BF is rubbing off on me. LOL)

You're not from around "these parts" are yeeeeaaa?

Haha, nothing wrong with a little bit of southern talk here and there

I will have to look into the "HAHA club".

On a side note: One of my issues going out trying to meet people, is that I'm not that big a fan of talking over a loud environment (screaming to hear each other gets tiresome). So I've been looking for places a little bit more quiet, where I'd have the opportunity to actually carry out a conversation with someone.

Oh and thank you very much for the compliments!

Default Art openings and lectures are the perfect environment!

I always go alone.

I attend the Hammer Museum free lecture series.
The Hammer Cafe is a wonderful place for happy hour convo.
There have been outstanding talks with the likes of Leonard Nimoy.

He has a new and amazing retrospective on Photography.
