I have been standing on the side lines on and off for a year on this site. Got a message once, pursued it and it went down the wrong avenue (too fast too soon!) immediately, so then I shied away.

But now am enjoying reading all the forums and blogs, messages, etc. Nice to read how many intelligent people are out there (cougars AND cubs!) -- fun! I have lurked around on other dating sites too and I have to say this one so far takes the cake for interesting, thought provoking and educated participants.

Well, I'm a cougar in search of...I don't think I have a defined quest. I am just "seeking" right now -- seeing who is out there and what's up. I am definitely interested in the cougar/cub relationship - I love the dynamic energy that a 40 or 50 something woman paired up with a 20 or 30 something man might create.

I had a May/December relationship for over 20 years with my college professor. I understand the attraction to someone a lot older in many ways. However, I'm a little shy too about being the older partner. I'm newly divorced (not from him, he was an affair) and checking out all the options of what the new dating scene is like. I love the new twist on how acceptable Cougar/Cub is becoming. Yay!

That all being said, I have to admit, I've gotten so many messages from cubs who can't spell, only use text lingo or say really dumb things that it is often discouraging. I won't answer your messages if you sound like a 12 - 17 year old. I definitely won't be answering messages that don't provide a picture.

I am an intelligent, deep thinking, culturally educated woman who doesn't want to mother anyone. I just like the energy of a young man and I think that energy mixing with my experience and wisdom could be an excellent combination.

Really don't bother writing me if you are prone to say something like "HIIIIII BEEEAUTIFFFULLL> wana chat sometime?" Uh..no.

So write something to pique my interest, whet my appetite for a good conversation!

(unfortunately the only cub so far that wrote me something super interesting once never wrote again -- that's the way of the world though...)

I look forward to dabbling in this site and meeting interesting cubs of like mind.

(I also really enjoy reading the other cougars on this site. Cool ladies!)

Hi lovelyj, glad you decided to come out of the woodwork, hahah! I agree, the potential dynamic between an older woman and a younger man can be really exciting. It's also pretty cool that younger guys don't feel like they know it all, like many same-age men tend to do. Good luck, keep having fun I look forward to reading more of your posts!
