 New Member My name is Steve and I am new to the site. To be perfectly candid, I feel uncomfortable saying too much about myself on a site I know little about and I apologize for being brief. I am 22 yrs old and am in my first year of graduate school at UNC-CH. I like to spend my free time hiking, swimming and discovering new places especially with my one year old dog Taz. In general, I would say that I am decently outgoing, but admittedly, I do get shy/ reserved in larger groups or when I'm around women I have crushes on. I have three sisters and no brothers, so needless to say, they have all had a big impact on my life. Ie. I am a fairly sensitive person and try to always be mindful of how I treat others. The picture of me (my avatar?) was taken last year at the base of Machu Pichu, Peru. I spent a month there performing research in the rain forest and definitely plan to go back someday. I love beautiful places and Peru has some of the most fascinating that I have yet to see. I do not know what I plan/ hope to get from this site and can't say I have ever posted on a forum before. Just wanted to introduce myself and If anyone is interested to talk please feel free to message me. Steve  |

That's a great first message Steve and welcome to the forum. I hope that you not only meet (a) special woman/women (there are many here!) but also enjoy the social side of the forums where we discuss pretty much anything that interests us It's always great when a man who looks like he has plenty to contribute joins the forum. |

Surprised to find a thread labeled 'New Member' containing posts of old members more than new member (ratio 3 to 1). Anyways, I'm Nadir from Lagos. I'm 25 years old. A Computer analyst- I've been an analyst for the past five years since I've graduated from the University. I love reading. Oh, I love reading! I'm looking forward to meeting interesting people. (I hope that is realistic!). That's pretty all i can disclose about myself for now!

Welcome to the new guys. I think Susan is trying to say that each person starts a new thread when introducing themselves to the forum. Or even if they are re-introducing themselve. It makes saying "hello" easier. This is my opinion. Anyway, join in the discussions and hopefully learn something new. |
