hi, my name's matt and I'm new to this whole scene, but it sounds exiting! I have a few questions-
- what's the best "cougar bar" in dallas? (i'm finally 21)
- what are some non-bar places to look into?
- i was raised to polite and I'm kind of shy. would it be bad if i accidentally called my date Ma'am?

Welcome to the forum.. I agree with CJ on being called ma'am. The first time I was called ma'am was when I turned 30 and got my first grey hair

Welcome Matt! There are a few ladies on here from TX that may be able to tell you the best bars to frequent. As far as other places, we "cougars" are EVERYWHERE you guys are, we just don't wear signs on our foreheads (although I have thought about doing just that, haha!)

I agree with the others about being called ma'am. I appreciate your wanting to be polite, but it's much too formal for a date. I would feel like I'm your mom or your teacher or something. No one wants to feel that way with a date!

Howdy Matt and welcome! I am just over here in Fort Worth. I do not know the bar scene here and when looking don't think that is where I would want to find my cub. I know that Texans are raised to be polite in calling a lady ma'am but the girls are right it would not work on a date. haha Look forward to seeing you post so jump on in....

Hi Matt...I agree with the other women, I hate being called ma'am...as far as bars in Dallas, I really don't go to bars much, but if you google cougar bars in Dallas it will show you some that I assume women frequent..We are everywhere, Like WnW said we don't wear signs..lol...but if you just smile or make conversation with a lady I'm sure you will be able to tell if she is interested...

Yay for Texans! My hometown is in El Paso. Not big on the Dallas/Fort Worth area, though. I drove through there a couple of times trying to get home, the traffic is just so bad. Plus westest Texas is the bestest.

If you google cougar with the word Houston all you will get is stuff from U of H hence my screen name since I graduated from there. Most of us tend to stay away from the bar scene unless we're hunting for a one nighter. roflmao But seriously though, you could search for ladies in your area if you're looking for something substantial you just might find it.
