Hi Derock, besides Nigerians getting a bad rap because of the scamming industry, you also have to consider that Nigeria is a country with high unemployment and poverty levels, and where crime and corruption are rampant. I mean no disrespect to you, but you'd be hard pressed to find a woman from the relatively affluent western countries (where most of the women on this site are from) who would be interested in living there. But as Val said, just post on here on regular topics and if you are who you say you are, then your honesty and worth will surely shine through. Good luck.

Phxgirl, I am sorry for your loss and understand that you would not want to have any dealings with someone from that country, but there is no need to personally attack Derock!

Truth of the matter is some Nigerians have really poured hot water ahead. So, I'm not surprised we are getting burned. 'the derniercri' over here are activities involving scamming! It is outrageous and disgraceful. Their selfish acts have codemned the innocent Nigerians(that is,if they exist) to eternal international condemnation and racial discrimination. If I think of it sometimes, I always feel like commiting grand genocide.
But of course, that won't make me any less proud that I'm a Nigerian. If you wanna judge me by the precedent Nigerians ahead of me, that is wise, but also, its your loss!!
Also, if Nigerians are getting mauled at like this for 'scamming', I wonder why the Krauts are not been pulled across and shot through in the head for WW2. Or why Americans are not been castrated for neo-colonialism in Africa. Or why the europeans generally are not been made to sleep on hot coal for 'slave trade'...
But I'll say its the corpse 'they' hurriedly buried that has come back to hunt 'them'!

Its really fascinating to read on the above subject matter, which i regard as very interesting, i must commend the moderator in making this thread possible, at least its an avenue for true meaning nigerians to plead their cause and let the world know that there a great portion of good guys here in Nigeria. Nadir806 you did a great job in taking us back to what happened in the past and how these countries have made every possible way to forget the past so everyone tell me why wont that of Nigeria or Africa in general not follow suite. Yes it is really sad to learn of what our com-padres have done way before our time and even at present it is still going on, but will you kill a child over the sins of the parents? Now lets examine this thing called scamming, before i go into it i want to point out that am not in support of anything that is illegal, there a huge or wide scale of illegal activities going on in the cyber world. Now the scamers always look for easily gullible individual and in some cases greedy individuals as well, or how would you explain it when someone contacts you and ask you to be the sole beneficiary of a huge sum of money which you have never worked for in your entire life, now you are to present yourself as a next of kin to someone who you have never met before and wants to collect the money which is never yours, now tell me isnt that being greedy that would make such an individual want to possess another man's possession. tell me if these stories are real is it a good thing that you would collect another man's sweat just because the man is dead? so when we point an accusing finger at someone remember that the rest four fingers are pointing towards you. We should all take heed and learn. yes you have been scammed before does not mean the next person is a scammer? yes you do have right to be cautious but do not condemn others for the sins of a few. Nigeria is bad yes i agree but who in here would categorically state here in this thread that there is no country without bad people in it or would say his or her country is good? The world itself is bad so lets stop discriminating others. If you are all conversant with the Holy Bible you would learn that it has been foretold that at this time of the end of the world that men would bee lovers of themselves more than lovers of God, and that men would evil and see nothing wrong in it, so lets all know that we are at that age and time now. if there are God fearing people the world over then the world would be a better place to live in but as it is no matter how hard the government tries there will still be bad eggs amongst us, so like others have said lets give our brother derock a chance he is looking for love who knows he could find it. Rather than attack him lets all join our minds and offer solutions to the problem. For me i would suggest that we delve into something more interesting like going to other dating sites in search of love is it right or wrong? am open for criticism and who ever feels he or she is not okay with my being a Nigerian then i dont know what to say again but like i said I AM PROUD TO BE A NIGERIAN COME RAIN COME SUNSHINE
