Yooper Cougar

For those unfamiliar with the term "yooper", its a term to refer to those of us who live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Considering my locale, I'm not expecting to hook up with anyone. More looking for like-minded souls to converse with. I've had a couple of cougar experiences and am currently kind of seeing someone 15 years younger.

I have three adult children of which I have good relationships with. I am a nice person. I work as a bartender since the paper mill closed, and am financially comfortable (though not well off). I have loved and lost, had material wealth and lost, and had a family member with serious health issues. I am down to earth and have learned to appreciate what is truly important in life. I want to experience joy - even in the most simple tasks. I just want to feel good.

I look younger than I am. I work at a bar with a lot of non-local patrons. I get hit on all the time - both young and old. Not too much surprises me anymore. (One patron was telling me about his penis injections to cure his erectile dysfunction, and how great it was working for him).

I feel I was cheated of many good years (for several reasons) and now want to make up for it. I am confident, comfortable with my self and body (still hate the loose belly and arms), and rather educated/intelligent. I know young guys admire these qualities. Maybe that is why I am attracted to them. I find the young guys tend to be dramatic, which both annoys/attracts me. ... lo que es, que es... it is what it is.

Oh yah, I also am a big midwestern beer-drinker. I like to drink and pop on the computer and sometimes say/type stupid stuff. lo que es, que es.

Anyway... I see this forum is full of hot, young studs, and fewer cougars. I like being a cougar - it works for me at this point of time. My current cub has ex-gf/child issues, and I am impressed when he listens to my advice (he is a hot-head). I feel useful.. a problem-solver... That is who I am. I left my children's dad because he disrespected me by not allowing me to fix his fixable problems.

Boys... RESPECT is everything when dealing with a cougar....

Hope to enjoy this forum. I tend to be honest and sometimes outspoken. You'll either love me or hate me, probably not in-between. I am curious to see where this goes.

Believe it or not, but I do NOT have a current pic of myself. But... I will get one and post it. I agree that pics are a necessity on this type of forum.

Hi Tammy and welcome! It is good to see another cougar aboard. I think you will find that you are not the only one outspoken here. Yeah we do have some hot guys here and the nice part is these guys are intelligent and a joy go have here. On the other hand you will also find some hot cougars that hang around here and they make this forum an interesting place to be. Welcome to the madness hahaha.

my dad hails from Calumet so I know exactly what a yooper is! Makes me wish I had a pasty right about now actually. I moved to Texas in 81 but have been back up north quite a few times since then and have to say it is one of the most beautiful places in the US. I hope you enjoy it here and I think you may find a few others cougars who have that problem solving trait too. Welcome, welcome, welcome!
