Hi, just joined today - I love the idea of the site and i'm looking forward to browsing the site and forum. As it says, I'm curious, but when I look at the number of ladies in my area, I may not satisfy it here. Still, who knows...

Lunamor, I'm not really sure - not long here enough to know. On the one hand I assume that the liberal side of Dutch society has no problem with it, but on the other hand, for a country with such a reputation, they do appear quite conservative. I have seen a few couples around where there was a clear age gap. And thats about all I can tell you...for now.

Darkle, so you're originally from somewhere else? In Italy there are of course women who prefer younger guys, and guys who prefer older women. I imagine in a large metropolis it's more visible and people are less scandalized, but since Italy doesn't have that many really large cities it means most of us are in small cities, towns of various sizes or even villages. The smaller the place, the more conventional it is - or at least, the more unconventional situations don't go unnoticed or without comment. I've spoken (as briefly as possible) with a couple of guys who wanted an older woman's attentions but only as a dirty little secret because they felt uncomfortable being in public with an older woman to dine, go around, etc.

Yes, I moved here recently....from somewhere else I'm sure its the same here vis a vis cities versus towns and villages - I'll keep you posted if I gain any first hand knowledge. I had an affair with an older lover,...back home. You do get looks and I noticed straight away. It was a little odd at first - i won't say uncomfortable, but you do feel self-conscious a bit. But then I began to get a kick out of it - very soon it was part of the fun. She always made out I was imagining most of it and she didn't see the looks - but I never really believed her. I was wondering about Italy when you posted here - the catholic thing - i always imagine that there is a little less stigma about things sexual in countries with a 'protestant' (?) tradition.
