Why I'm here...

After a painful break-up, I kept to myself in order to heal and move on, and recently I decided, okay, I'm ready to go back out there into the dating scene. So, I signed up at a well-known dating site, filled out the profile, uploaded the pictures and... how depressing!

I've had two relationships in the last seven years, and both were with younger men. One lasted for a year and half, and he was eight years younger. The second lasted for almost five, and he was ten and a half years younger. Even when I wasn't in a relationship, I was almost exclusively attracting younger men. I love them, they are great! But they don't seem interested on the dating site. I only hear from older men who aren't my type, physically or mentally.

I'm just not compatible with men my age, at least right now. I love the energy and enthusiasm of younger men. And I won't lie -- the sex is excellent. My younger man and I would have sex nearly every day... sigh...

Where do you ladies meet younger men? Do you use dating sites or does it just happen out there in the real world?

I think the beuty of a cougar is answered in the name. A creature who is wild, independant, and a predator. Most boys who look for cougars want to see what is like to meet with a girl who takes action, who knows what she is doing and is willing to show me what they are meant to do.

I find it wrong that some guys dont use the right web site. this is for older woman, and younger men. Get it right?

Jhon, unfortunately I don't agree with you @ all. We are NOT predators @ all. A creature who is wild, independant, and a predator We are not creatures either were are older women, as for wild IDK what tha's suppose to mean.
That stigma "Cougar" is totally played out by the media. Let's just say what it is: We are older women attracted to younger men period. You don't read or hear anything associated with older men dating younger woman.

I don't think of myself as a predator. I never did the pursuing with younger men, they pursued me. I was hesitant at first, but then decided not to rule them out based on age.

Elaine, I think that's how a lot of us got here. We just realized that younger men were interested in us and the attractive guys our own age were nowhere to be found.

For me, living in a smallish community, dating sites are the main way I meet men, although it's difficult. But I didn't have any luck finding new men in person and dating sites get right to the point. It's not necessarily age gap sites though - younger men will find you on regular sites as well, especially if you put that preference in your profile.

I met my younger man out in the real world. I approached him at a bar once I knew him a little. I have also tried online but found there was no chemistry for me when I met them in person.
