Does anyone actually READ the profiles?

I've been on this site for many months. At the head of my profile I say that I don't chat and that I will block anyone who requests chat. I assume, most of the requests and winks that say 'wanna chat' are a joke, though that seems a silly waste of someones time. I also quite clearly state that I am looking for a serious relationship. So far, married men are contacting me, or men who live way too far away to be taken seriously.

I'm about to quit this service as I haven't time to spend on people who don't know what they want. I've met younger men locally with more ease. Have others here had similar problems?

I am quite sure my profile does not state that I am up for naughty pic exchanges and dirty chat, yet I seem to get that request a fair amount! It's a case of putting up with the bad to get to the good I'm afraid!

Look on the plus side: at least those guys who disregard your profile have shown that they just don't get it, meaning you won't have to waste any more time on them. Otherwise you might have had to find out that they were fools the hard way.

Its good to know it happens to everyone. I DO block them, just as I say I will. And, as another forum user stated below, it does help weed out the dunderheads, doesn't it? I know plenty of young men who are bright and good company AND can read instructions.

Perhaps I should add to my profile that one gets bonus points for taking direction well? lol

I also read them fully, even before I look at any additional pictures, I think many find this as a play ground to fill fantasys of there's, or atleast attempt to, which does not make it any easier for us that really do care or try.

Yea I read the profiles too, mostly so I know what to expect with whomever catches my eye.

If I had any theory as to why most guys don't its cause their randomly trying their luck with every woman they can find and don't really care about what it says on their profiles. I know this cause Ive done the same as them at least once or twice on other sites but found it to be pretty dumb.
