My cousin told me about Picnik a few weeks ago, I never used it though. For shrinking pictures I use IrfanView (I have version 3.98) the link provided is version 4.2 so it might not be the exact same way to resize it (although I assume it will be) It's free to download, and it's really small. IrfanView - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com If that link doesn't work just go to download dot com and search Irfanview. You download and install it then open whatever pic you want to shrink. 1.Select 'Image' from the toolbar (right beside Edit) 2.then select Resize/resample from the list. 3.Click 'Set new size as percentage of original'. (make sure it's the percentage one, not the pixels) 4.Choose whatever percentage you want and click okay. I usually do it a few times, I do 75% two or three times and that usually takes it from 2mb to around 70k (which should be small enough to upload to most any pictures sites that have limits on the size of pictures). I've never used the program for anything else other then shrinking images, I fooled around with it at first when I downloaded it, but got bored and never tried anything else with it. |
