Default Best next move after canceling a date

So I had a lunch date for today which I canceled, which would have been our second date. Problem was, I was up until about 7 AM making out with a foreign exchange student who I met last night, and with a Super Bowl Party tonight, I opted for sleep over lunch. I left her a VM about 90 minutes before the date was scheduled to cancel (used a "I ate some bad thai" excuse), and said that I wanted to get together for dinner this week to make it up to her. Still have not received any reply though...is it on me to call her back again?

OK, trying to figure out the gist of this... you had a date with a girl ("Girl A", we'll call her), but ducked out because you were with someone else ("Girl B"). In order to, I guess, "save face", you told Girl A you had some illness or other malady. You want to go on a date with her again, to repair whatever is there.

Either she saw through the cloud of BS, or didn't like being dropped an hour and a half before showtime. In any case, the tone of this posting sounds like a sly attempt to brag about your "prowess", and, while judgment isn't being passed, you must realize that, if you decide to be a player, your game will run out eventually.

On the surface, yes, it is on you to call and offer up some apologies (and possibly a dash of truth). [Sorry for being blunt and possibly rude...]

You can't possibly think women are that stupid and gullible. I wouldn't call you back either.
