He does type in texts and I hate it. But it's not like he's expressing himself that way anywhere that it matters.

I don't think it's disrespectful to anyone for him to communicate in that way at his age. Now if we're talking about a site like this where you're trying to portray yourself as mature and not an a s s, then it's very important to type in real words and not text language. At 14, in teenage world, not a big deal.

I don't expect him to "magically change", but I do expect him to mature a bit to realize that's not the way you communicate in the real world.

I guess im attracted to the more mature women both physically and on a emotional level, ive dated so many girls my age who six months down the line after telling me ' they love me' to then turn around and say they dont know what they want anymore haha an older woman offers intelligence, class, sophistication, life experience ( which i believe i have even at my wee tender age ) and at the same time their full of fun and they know what they want! im very flattered whenever an older woman shows interest in me

Romantic meals, fabolous conversation and connection, i love it!

We know what we want and aren't afraid to go after it. We are over playing games.

I think I've probably said this before, but it's worth repeating. I don't date cougars exclusively and the the qualities that I like are the same as any woman regardless of age. Having said that, I don't hold it against a woman if she's only interested in cubs. Everyone has their preferences after all. But a cougar who is eager and enthusiastic about dating cubs will always pique my interests, especially when she's open and honest about it - it says a lot about her confidence and strength, since it's not always easy to do in the face of societal disapproval and stigma, which still exists but hopefully is diminishing quickly.

I find older women to be increadibly classy and sophisticated. In general I find them way more attractive than younger ones.

Personality is also a key: you can converse with an older woman; it's not just a chat!!!! And in that conversation ther could be anything: teasing, joking, a serious topic, normal chit chat or all at the same time. This is really what would make it "click".

If my kid said IDK to me I would come back with some stupid response like YNTLHTT or WTWTIDKTDMAS and let them see how silly it is...then they would probably laugh. I guess if they want to talk to each other that way it's no big deal really...every generation has their little quirks...when I was that age we used to say things like
"gag me with a spoon", "that gets on my nerves" or "barf in bucket." I'm sure our parents probably didn't understand.

Oh I think our parents DID understand....they understood about respect at least. I remember that "gag me with a spoon" thing too and if I would have ever said anything like that to my parents I would have gotten my mouth smacked!!!

It all boils down to what we allow our kids to get away with. I remember when my daughter was very, very young one time when I was telling her to do something she didn't like she held her hand up to me and said "talk to the hand". I told HER if she ever said that again MY hand would be talking to her little butt and she wouldn't like what it was saying!! That was the end of that little rude saying the kids tried to get away with!
