I hate being stood up

I went out on Saturday night with a girlfriend and had a really good time. I met a 33 year old guy who I exchanged numbers with. We were supposed to go out on a date on Friday but he just told me he got a job delivering pizzas and it's hard for me not to be ****ed off. I am so tired of flaky people that say they are going to do something and then back out at the last minute. At least he didn't back out on me the day of the date.

I know that I am attractive and intelligent and I can be lots of fun but I am not just looking for a booty call. I think when the guys find out that I actually want to be taken on dates they decide I am not worth the effort. I'm really frustrated right now. I would like to go on an actual date and have fun and maybe even meet someone I can care about.

I have to ask this. Did he want to reschedule? If he did then I think it might be a little harsh to judge his intentions as being only looking for a booty call. Calling the day before because work is getting in the way I don't think is a bad thing especially if he was interested in trying for a different day. I have had this happen to me on many occasions and have had to do it once or twice myself.

If he didn't want to reschedule then you are probably right that he just wasn't looking for the same things you were and bailed out. Better than stringing you along and fooling you into thinking he is someone he isn't though.

I agree with what tallmatt said, but I'd also add this: your comment "they decide I am not worth the effort" is a waaay wrong way to think, when you let this kind of idea enter your mind, you poison your own thoughts by personalizing their actions as a reflection of who you are -- **GONG!!**

Luna, you are right! It is the all important cougar attitude that the cubs look at also. I know everyone of us has read where a cub has said it is the attitude that attracts them to older women. Did you ask if he wanted to reschedule? Do not let one get you down because another will come along.

At his age I would think he would have enough sense to be man enough about it and offer to reschedule, or make it up to you. Looks like you didnt miss out on much in my opinion.
