Well, our definitions of old are probably vastly different. haha I meant like 25+... See, I believe men and women age differently. Women get better with age (usually), by gaining experience, etc. Men, on the other hand, just get more problems as time goes on. It's pretty much all down hill after maybe 25 - 30...

Default I

think the drink idea is great. Now about that shirt, a young marine I know has one that was how we met. He was wearing it in broad daylight and it might as well have been one of those flashing signs since I swear I spotted it from a block away!

Prince, other than buying her a drink, what about a flirty complement? For me, it is hard to know for sure if a younger man is flirting or just being friendly. I think that there are more varieties in relationships in younger people from what I've seen, going from lover to friend to lover again or something in between. So, for example, when I am dancing with one of the cute younger guys in my salsa class and they seem to be making an effort to chat with me between dances and are very friendly, I don't know if they are interested in me or just friendly guys. But if they were to complement me on how I look, that might give me a little more of an idea that they might be interested. I know some women think any complement is sexual harrassment, so nothing TOO blatant when you don't know someone yet, but I'm just thinking it might give you a better idea.

Here's my only hangup on the compliment thing... I've learned not to compliment most women my age because they're so stuck up and princess ish, a compliment means she's got me in the bag and she loses interest... I figure that might not be the case with a Cougar... So what would you prefer? Something along the basic lines of you have a beautiful smile or gorgeous eyes? I like to think outside the box and be creative but I always get caught up in the eyes lol.

Ah prince, you can never compliment a cougar TOO much! As far as what we prefer....just keep it real. Most of us are smart enough to know when someone is being phony with the compliments.

If they ask you how old they look, or they worry aloud that you're too young for them, tell them they look 25. They fall in love with you instantly, to exaggerate.

"Most of us are smart enough to know when someone is being phony with the compliments."

Listen to wetnwild!

What iamawesome said might work on someone up to her early thirties, but otherwise only a fool would swallow that line (on the psychological side, it's undoubtedly a useful measure of a woman's level of self-deception).

I have learned that if you compliment something that can change it is better. Like if you say I love your hair.
