Default How do you know when an older woman is a cougar?

I'm newer to dating older women and besides sites like GoCougar.com and a few others I don't know of ways to meet older women especially since many don't use the internet that much. I know I could join a book club or some gym or something like that, but is there really any way to know if I should approach an older woman? At work I have a coworker in her mid to late thirties and she's really cute and sweet and nice and flirty, but I'm never sure if she's hitting on me or it's just her regular nature. I know dating a coworker is a slippery slope already and she's a manager so I don't want to make a move and get reprimanded or fired or make things awkward. Any helpful suggestions or tips?

I agree with Tarni. Come talk to us.. make eye contact.. let us know you're interested. No, its not fair that men need to do the approaching, however, as Tarni said, when an older woman chats up a younger man more often than not we get this "omg.. why the Hell is she talking to me?" look. Only once have I approached a younger guy, gave him my business card with a note on the back. He was polite enough to call me and tell me he was flattered, however, he was recently engaged. Now, I have no idea if he was telling the truth or was just respectful in telling me he wasn't interested. Either way, its stopped me from doing it again. I've been on a couple of OW/YM dating sites and have often said I wished we would all wear buttons saying "I'm into OW/YM." lol Man, that would be SOOO much easier than this merry-go-round we're on.

As for your co-worker/manager - NO,NO,NO,NO There are a million other wonderful women out there, DO NOT screw up at work and even entertain this thought. If you leave your job and you're still interested in her, then and only then should you approach her.

Best wishes,

Jennifer

If I could find a cool and nice fitting "I like older women" or "Older women are hot" T-shirt I'd definitely thrown it on. Maybe I'll have to buy one of those kits and make my own. lol

Definitely! You can design sayings that will interest women and I'll sell them to stores and hand them out along muscle beach and at college campuses. They'll be the hot new thing next Christmas.

I've often been talking to a younger guy and was attracted to him but did not know if he was attracted back. Sometimes I say " wow you are cute " or " thank you handsome " . Like last night I was at an electronics store and this cute young guy spent alot of time helping me. I wanted to turn and say " You are so cute " But instead I walked out of the store. He works right down the street so maybe I will have an excuse to go back in sometime. If you like an older woman , then GO for it , so she will know. If she rejects it just means she's not interested in younger.

I'd kill to hear that! lol I work in electronics at my store and have lots of older women coming in to ask about stuff for Christmas shopping and general questions and some are so beautiful and sexy and nice I just want to volunteer to set everything up for them at their house.

haha just rock a shirt that says "Cougar Bait". The cougars will know, and other people will have no clue and think you're a safari hunter or something
