I agree with Tarni. Come talk to us.. make eye contact.. let us know you're interested. No, its not fair that men need to do the approaching, however, as Tarni said, when an older woman chats up a younger man more often than not we get this "omg.. why the Hell is she talking to me?" look. Only once have I approached a younger guy, gave him my business card with a note on the back. He was polite enough to call me and tell me he was flattered, however, he was recently engaged. Now, I have no idea if he was telling the truth or was just respectful in telling me he wasn't interested. Either way, its stopped me from doing it again. I've been on a couple of OW/YM dating sites and have often said I wished we would all wear buttons saying "I'm into OW/YM." lol Man, that would be SOOO much easier than this merry-go-round we're on.
As for your co-worker/manager - NO,NO,NO,NO There are a million other wonderful women out there, DO NOT screw up at work and even entertain this thought. If you leave your job and you're still interested in her, then and only then should you approach her.
Best wishes,
Jennifer
