To each his (or her) own I guess, but for me that possibility isn't even a possibility. There are too many things that I get from men that are just not possible with a woman. Besides, there is absolutely NO sexual attraction on my part to other women and I can't change who I am.

I understand arealthing's frustration. I've been soooo tempted to spell out a few things on my profile, but then I realize, like dancetoday pointed out, that too much just makes you sound like a ***** (I'm paraphrasing). So I just keep sifting through the messages, one finger poised over the delete button.

Not to excuse the rather idiotic behavior of people but keep in mind that my generation has also been raised to the point where sex oozes out of everything we are bombarded with. TV, Radio, News, Magazines, Internet, etc. all just use sex as a recruiting tool.

Also Cougar is a sort of sexual term anyway. "On the prowl for young meat" seems to be a little sexual, no? And a healthy relationship should have a little physical intimacy, granted. I'm not saying I think that the only thing older women think of is sex, but it's no secret that women enjoy sex just as much as men do. Otherwise we wouldn't have six billion+ people on the planet, now would we?

Given that humans are hard-wired to have sex quite a bit (most likely a throw-back to the days when our species tended to be the prey and not the predator) this tends to get some people to think with the area below the belt. I think we all have those moments where we let our libido get the best of us. Some people are just so weak that they tend not to get out of that state.

I'm sorry to hear that you ladies have had some morons bug you but frankly this is also a two way street. When a guy thinks up something really intelligent and well thought out, it most often gets the cold shoulder response. It's kind of the reason I am wary of dating a woman my age. They are really no more mature than their male counterparts.
