I agree with Buni, respect for sure, along with being mature, honest, trusting, fun to be around and knows how to treat a lady are a few others. :0)

First and foremost from a man, honesty. From there, trust is built and from there respect is earned.

Smile Hi Barley

I'd go with honesty. We know younger guys like food, sex, and sports in some order, so you don't need to camouflage that. You're more likely to get a good response by telling the truth than you will if you're lying. I think most older women can second guess younger guys pretty well anyway.

Honesty is never a given, it is human nature to do the exact opposite! We are deceitful creatures and it takes a real person to be truthful to their partner. So if I asked anyone of you, have you lied to cover up something you have done that you know was wrong or have you cheated on your partner in any way or have you stolen anything from anyone no matter how small it was? I can say I have done all of that and I am ashamed of myself for having done it and I hope I have the balls not to do that stuff again when confronted with those situations.

We all lie! So can we build a foundation nof honesty with our potential partners from the very start? I met a guy who lied to me about something trivial right off the bat, he had no clue we were going to hit-it-off in a big way. That little lie broke open and then I thought to myself, then what else did he lie about when we were getting to know each other? That one little lie was big enough for me to doubt him on the rest.

Default What

I meant was that I thought wanting honesty in a partner was a given but I understand and agree with what you had to say alecto. I have done many things that were the wrong choice and not good for my karma but I have been working on being completely honest for years now. Buni I know where you are coming from sometimes my honesty ends up with me on the outs...
