Ripcord, it sounds like you're dating her already (even though it's platonic), so it's not a question of how to ask her out. You're already hanging out with her and spending one-on-one time together.

The question is: Does she want to be your girlfriend?

This is what you should do:

When you're both happy and relaxed and somewhere private, ask her to describe her the kind of man she'd like to date. If she describes someone who's the opposite of you, then she doesn't see you as a boyfriend. You just have to accept it and move on.

But if she describes someone who sounds a lot like you, then say, "Hey, that sounds just like me."

Then two things could happen after you say that:

One: If she smiles and leans toward you, that means she is talking about you, so move in for a kiss.

Two: If she has a blank or uncomfortable expression on her face and her body language is negative, that means she's NOT talking about you, and you have your answer: You're in the "friends only" zone with her, so don't even try to kiss her.
