OLDER men

I would love your thoughts on this...I often have older men send me messages. I have had men in their 40's and 50's send me messages, begging me to consider. It is extremely irritating for me as I am a member of another general dating site and have my fair share of older men who approach me, despite the fact that my profile clearly states only younger men are welcome to message me. Thank goodness I was able to set my mail settings to the age group I would like to correspond with. I joined goCougar to meet younger men and I met somebody who became very special to me (22 years old) on goCougar. I would just like to know if other ladies on this site feel the same?

There are a lot of men in their late 60's on gocougar, why??? Do they think we older women will get tired of the younger men and come flocking to them instead??

What is really strange is that on regular dating sites, older men do not hit on me, instead on this site I get hit on a lot by OLD men!! I've dated older! I don't like older!

As for you, tell them flat out that you had met someone of your age preference.
If they go off on you, then delete or block them.
I was on another cougar site and I got an explicit pornographic email from a 61 year old man. I cussed him out, blocked him and reported him.

On another I am currently on, I will soon cancel the subscription due to hardly any response, overweight older men contacting me,except for a casual 29 year old pen pal, I had reverse match on match.com and got viewed by those I filtered out, but still got winks.

I never liked it either ladies, but I've found a pattern in those "older guys". Most of the 40-50 year olds are FAKE, and the 60+ guys just don't get the concept. I guess they figure they can convert us, the same as the young girls who sign up here,(ALSO mostly fake) thinking that they can rope the young men back to their corral. Whatever....I think it's arrogant and I don't feel it has a place on this site.

I wouldn't let them chase me off though....just delete their messages without even answering them. They don't deserve your energy. Scan their profiles for telltale scammer signs ("God fearing", black eyes and black hair, when their picture is of a light haired dude, and trying too hard to appear to be "honest") Use a liberal hand with the block feature and report when you're suspicious.

Catherine, I don't know why you don't get response, except I've always found that blogging or writing in the forum draws attention....even though they can't see my profile! At this point, I just write here because I enjoy it and use the delete button liberally. LOL

That's another topic. (wink*). I was first on this site in 2009.

Just a suggestion hun, but I would highly encourage you to post under INTRODUCTIONS rather than hijack someone else's thread. And when you do, please tell the ladies more about yourself than your age.
