Default Desert Island discs of sorts....

I have been thinking about the active memebers here, what makes them tick, outlook on things, and basic stuff, interests, music and such. You can read into posts and comments, as to political views...and maybe very so slightly, the person But I just thought maybe this could be fun...This week...I'd like to know if you had to go to a desert Island...what would be the top 5 singles(dont worry albums are comming) you would bring. Not everyone is into music so more polls will come as the weeks go by. You can go into as much/little detail as you like, but if you do give explanations, give us detail, it helps to get to know you..but it can only be 5...I will try to keep it up as long as I can...and I will add weekly....so my famous 5 are.. in no particular order

1. Nine Inch Nails......Closer(precursor)
2. Anathema............Summer Night Horizon
3. Type O negative...Love you to death
4. Gary Numan.........Our friends Electric
5. Kate Bush............Cloudbusting

The first..well its NIN and trent reznor...once described as the coolest guy in rock. What I love about NIN was there merging of sounds(80s electro) and a modern rock/metal twist, to create sounds that not just fans of rock could like...This is not the orignal version, this was a remix of "closer"..and was used as the opening title music to SE7EN..why I love it..its just as creepy as hell...sometimes unsettling but then has elements of the original that makes you want to get up and dance..believe it or not...I love its darkness though..and as creepy or unsettling as it is...I can listen again and again to it........Now Anathema...was an old Brit doom metal band..then BANG this came out....and what a difference...I remember the first time I heard it..summer was here, having a bbq chatting with friends and while this was playing..got the goose bumps...just makes me remember the summer...nice feeling........Well as Laine might know..TYPE O NEGATIVE I adore!...I have never heard the merging of some of the finest poetry and melodies like this band..and this song is one to listen to in bed..lights off while drifting..brings a tear to the eye and something hughly romantic about it...erotic and beautiful......Gary Gary Gary...Id have to say in my eyes..the founder of Modern Goth/80s electro and cool sounds..and a huge influence on many contempory artists...our friends electric reminds me of watching top of the pops as a kid while brothers and sisters were getting ready to go out!..This is the guy that helped me to fall in love with music......As for the Bush..well you gotta have the bush...quite simply brilliant and cute..I wanted to date her when I was like 5!!...so her videos were really well thought out but when I was a kid I thought they were just mad and quirky...this song I heard it for the fist time while we were on holiday many many years ago and fell in love with it...and kate!! and who doesnt get the goose bumps when those opening bars start?

There you go...As I said new one next week(Albums)..so start thinking..and again its just for fun and insight...you dont have to play if you dont want to...Look forward to seeing who people like...and check out peoples decisions on youtube and alike....x
