I think that I would have to base my feelings on how I felt about her as a person first and then deal with the rest. If you have no romantic intentions towards her I can't see where it would make a difference in just being friends. It took a lot of courage to tell you considering how close minded a lot of people are. I know a couple who had an intersexed child, it was very difficult for the husband to come to terms with and eventually their marriage broke up. This post sent me on a half hour you tube stint where I came across some of the most beautiful men I have ever seen in my life. Oddly similar to the kinds of men I dated in my teens and twenties. I think it's one of the reasons why I am attracted to EMO types of guys... Off to cruise youtube some more.

Intersexed A.K.A Hermaphrodite This is a very good question, being honest, I don't know what I'd think, I know that sounds shallow minded, but I have yet to cross that bridge. I'm with Houston, if you are friends / currently conversing then why should it matter. |

Sonia, I too, was lost with the term intersexed, I had guessed that maybe it was an American term for bi-sexual, This topic's taking a rather un-expected twist... I would be quite happy to continue speaking to a transgender person on a talking basis only, each to their own, & I would respect their courage & how hard the transition would have been for them. I have read a story of a man whom met who he deemed to be a lady, fell in love with her, and she revealed the truth that she used to be a man, initially freaked out, in the end he took the view that he fell in love with the person who she is now... but personally, whilst I'd regard them as their now acquired gender, dating, no thanks, old fashioned in the view that nature shouldn't really be messed around with, like that. |

I have always used the term hermaphrodite & I am an AMERICAN & I have lived my entire life in New York. I actually had no idea what you meant (the OP) when you said inter sexed, I actually thought you meant bi-sexual & used the wrong terminology, lol. Oh well live & learn, something new every day no matter what age you are.
