What do older women think of alcohol, cigs, and cannabis?

I'm sort of interested, because i haven't spoke to a lot of "cougars" yet, but with younger women it is not uncommon that they use the occasional joint.

Personally, i think must drugs are a turn off, not speaking to the real person makes you feel like they are distancing themselves from you... however i think cannabis is better than alcohol (opinions?)
because: Weed is generally helthier than alcohol and tobacco, and being drunk makes you do stupid things, like punch people, when M-J just makes you want to sit down and watch movies.

I have used alcohol and cannabis, but i am not a real fan of any of them: I still use alcohol alot with my other friends, but it supriese me that alcohol and nicotine are socially accepted when they hurt so many people, and maryjana is not even allowed as a medicine?

Opinions (not "weed is good" "weed is bad" but arguments please! )

drinking to get drunk and ANY kind of smoking is an immediate turn off to me.
there is no justifying smoking to me.
just a big waste of money.

I'd be lying if I were to say that I haven't taken anything in the past, but these days, no thanks!

Alcohol, I agree with another poster, that drinking to get drunk, is a repulsive thing.

Weed is still damaging, despite what people think. Anything that burns, gives off tar.

Where I live, most of the people smoke weed, regularly. I would even go as far to state that it's almost becoming a weed smoking nation.

My last relationship, (age gap, of course!) all my ex partner would do, would smoke weed, sometimes from when she woke up, she used to be very lethargic, nothing really ever got done, lethargicness is ugliness.

Ok so there's going to be those that don't fall victim to the prior, and hey, my opinions are just that, mine.

Each to their own, but aren't people capable of having fun without substance misuse any more?

I can never see the point.

I rarely bother with drink, not against it now and again, just I forget to drink it through talking too much smoking is a turn off for anything.

Everything has a time and place in life.
How much and under what conditions is what makes the difference.
I do enjoy a drink now and then, but I make it a point to limit the amount and never drive.
I do smoke, I have been trying to stop but I have cut back a lot over the years.
Marijuana is something that is a bit of a delima. I have smoked it a few time, I do enjoy it with friends under special conditions.
I try never to judge anyone but I do not approve of drinking to excess.

Many moons ago in my teens I smoked pot. Those days are long gone.When you become pregnant & a parent things change (at least for me they did). As for drinking, everything in moderatio. Going out to dinner sure why not have a cocktail or a glass of wine, same for a wedding or some special occasions. I'm not one to just have drink @ night for the sake of having or drink or saying hey it's Wednesday hump day, lets celebrate.

I do not smoke, either Cigaretts or Marajuana.
I do not enjoy hard Liquor.
But I cannot imagine a meal without a glass or two of wine.

wine with a meal is a totally different story than just drinking alcohol to get drunk.
wine with meals is extremely okay in my book.
