So here's a thing - does it bother you if a guy from some totally far flung place drops you a line to tell you he thinks you're cute or something? Even if it's carefully worded etc?

Or should I (for the hypothetical is indeed me) stick to my side of the map?

A lady always appreciates a compliment no matter where she lives, but I would steer away from using the word "cute".

I agree with Houston, compliments are always nice.
But it should always be done in good taste and with proper english and spelling.
As far as location, well someone from Mars could tell me I look nice.
But that does not mean I am interested in Green men.
We all have our idea of what we like, so go ahead and say nice things, put some thought into it and just maybe we will continue the conversation.
