9 yo gave me pantyhose

So girls- do you see anything odd about a 9 year old giving a 55 year old woman black pantyhose- and apparently without any guidance from an adult? I never thought of him as precocious, but the very fact that he would notice a woman's legs at that age makes me squirm. Am I reading this all wrong?

I agree, it is an inappropriate gift for a child to give. Even for a man to give such a gift unless he is your BF is inappropriate. I hope you gently told him it was not the right gift to give a woman, at his age.

I disagree with the 2 ladies above me as well as the OP. Isn't that what you basically wear Rhonda? If it i,s then it's something the little boy noticed your wearing black tights or pantyhose. I think he though it's something you might like.

I don't understand who he is to you...what 9 year old goes shopping without his mother and what did he say when he gave it to you...sorry, I'm just not getting this and for me it sounds very strange...

Sorry Susan- I neglected to say that he was my nephew. And Bayridge- I know it was from the heart, and yes he saw me wearing hose, and also it was probably within his price range. Its just that I didn't think 9 year olds noticed women's legs. Naturally I was appreciative.

RWA even if he did think is it was a gift she would like, where is his mother? She should have advised him that gifts like that are inappropriate from a young boy. I hope you did not let your son do such things. I am appalled .

I have no Son- or daughter Biggles- sometimes I wish I had, but not to be. Unhappy abusive marriage- I would not have wanted to share. The mother was unaware- he stopped by Victoria's Secret on way home fro school. He even wrapped them by himself. I'm touched- $18.00 is a lot for a kid- so I'm not offended. Maybe its because I've never been around kids and I don't know when they mature.

I'm sorry Rhonda, but I'm a teacher for 6 to 9 year olds and I don't see any of them going to a shopping mall by themselves, going into Victoria Secret and buying something. No parent of children that age would let them do that, just makes no sense to me.

legs. arms. feet.neck. its only sexual if you make it sexual. And although 9 year olds today may know more about sex then 9 year olds 30 years ago, hormones do not change. There is no way that was meant to have a sexual intention,or even a sexual thought. He was merely noticing you have two legs that may enjoy this new set of pantyhose. lol Just a thought.
