Why you should be with a mature woman

During my final year of med school, I dropped by the mechanic to have my old jalopy patched up. I ended up striking a conversation with a lady who was having the tail light of her car replaced. This lady was actually 6 years older than I was. Few weeks of back and forth on the phone was followed up by evenings in her home. She knew what she wanted, was assertive and confident. A mature woman who respected my space and very much in tune with me. No loud partying and excessive drinking. It was always a decent pub, a movie or great times at her home. I always headed back to my college apartment a fulfilled man. But alas, I graduated and had to start residency in a far away city. I still miss the straight forward conversation and mature romance.

I remember thinking that 6 years was a significant age difference when in my 20's, but while in my 30's, the age gap became wider, and that continued til this day. I just find it amusing when young men think of 6 or even 10 years as an older woman. These days, those guys are too old for me....unless I can catch Paul McCartney between girlfriends and wives! hehe

Nevertheless, I'm glad that your mature lady had such a positive influence on you and became a part of a sort of romantic theatre of the mind, one where the curtain opens when we want to feel good.

ising, come to think of it, 6 years is not much of a difference especially when you go beyond the age of 28. Now, I see myself being with some one 15 years older than myself. Five years ago, I would have freaked out...and ran to my mama(j/k)

Six years is a big difference when it's the equivalent of 20% or even 25% of your entire life (and for some fellows here, it's even one-third of their entire lives!).

"Over 40" and "under 40" is as far as I go with classification by age!

That is an interesting point. I guess everything is relative
