You are a nice enough looking chap, err.... How attached are you to the beard? And those few extra pounds could be lost. These are simple things you can do to improve your chances in the dating game. I presume you are not housebound, and that there is public transportation available. Then the idea is to get out and mix with people- and not just bars- clubs, events, supermarket. And smile at every woman you meet- I promise with my hand on my heart that one of them will respond to you,

If truly this is the case, I agree with Rhonda, however, my suspicious nature makes me wonder if it not a ploy for some attention. I hope I am wrong, and if I am I wish you all the best.

Call me skeptical, but I have to agree with Biggles. This is your first post and you are directing us to this person's profile? Maybe I am a bit jaded, but I find it difficult at times to feel sorry for people who are "disabled". Yes, some ppl truly are and truly need the help. Many others use it as an excuse to not work. But somehow, some way, they are perfectly capable of doing EVERYTHING else in life!! I know of a 20 yr old who collects disability checks because of a depression problem and some meds he is on. I know MANY other ppl in the same boat as him who work for a living, and don't live off the gov't. I also know of 2 very young, very strapping guys at my work who every day park in the handicapped spaces with their handicapped stickers. So one person's "disability" is another one's free ticket to ride.

Yeah, call me jaded. Hope I am wrong about this guy.

P.S. - something else just occurred to me. Why on earth would anyone mention in a DATING profile that their parents are blind? Hmmmm....refer to Biggles response above, yet again.

I tend to agree with Biggles and WW. I think I am rather suspicious of people. Not sure what he would expect out of an older woman, a caretaker? I hope I am wrong to and wish him much luck.

No offense intended here, but it sounds like he is looking for sympathy IMHO. I don't see why he had to post the info he did. There is a time & place for everything & on his profile was not the place, again IMO. I don't know what he's really looking for @ this point, but with what he did put on his profile (if it's even true/real) he's bound to scare many ladies off.
