WHAT? Jane, I believe you missed the point.

We all have our opinions, just because we didn't go awww poor guy, doesn't mean we are being antagonistic.

We only stated what we thought. I do hope you can understand that we all have differing opinions about the post.

I would be the last to condemn him for being handicapped, I have a Down Syndrome daughter and know all to well what she has had to overcome in life just to be accepted by the "normal" community.

This would never have come up for any kind of discussion if you had not posted it. But since you have you have to be prepared for the comments that are posted.

Well I will just say there is a difference between someone posting their profile and someone else turning him into a "poster boy" by advertising that profile on the forums.

Not at all Jane. Everyone understands you have to start somewhere. But it WAS an unusual first post, you have to admit. And most people start with an intro about themselves and let the other members get to know them a bit first (which you are still welcome to do, btw!)

No one was being antagonistic. As Biggles pointed out above, everyone has their own opinions. When you post anything on a public forum you are inviting other peoples opinions. As I tell everyone else, if you don't like hearing opinions different to your own, it is best to not post on the public forums. But we certainly hope you will continue to do so!

It's easy to become cynical online. He may be playing games or playing the sympathy card or he may be simply saying straight up this is who I am and if you don't like it don't message me.

Imagine if he didn't write what he did and then started chatting with a woman and came out with it later on, I imagine many people would feel like they have been played to some extent.

I don't know what his intentions are, I'm just saying in the end you can't win sometimes!
