I never travel in Europe and australia.

I always used to travel alone, when im enjoying vacation. I am a backpackers, during my vacation leave. Anyway one experience I had was when I tried to spent my week in a tiny island(4hectar island) in philippines. I was happy to think i will be alone when i heard some noise from an english people. when they talk to me I've learned out that they are australian backpackers. This the reason why i appreciate australians as a nature loving people.

Funny story Red. I've experienced that too, in England. Well, with Hollywood and all, it's quite common internationally that folks are used to American accents already. But I had a really heard time understanding folks in Sheffield, and I found that funny because they speak "the Queen's English".

I have met once in Tunisi a reporter from Finland who was making a documentary about Tunisia. The wicked thing about this personality is that he travelled the distance between Finland and Tunisia on his bicycle, except the time when he changed continents with the help of the ferryboat. Actually that is how I met him, "the boat I was working on" was anchored in "the port of" Sidi Bu Said, and he was on his bike gathering information about the ferryboat schedulles in the port. Wicked man, but very intelligent and charismatic. A man full of stories to tell, lol!
I have travelled alone also a few times, and its a rich life experience.

I do a lot of traveling by myself and I enjoy meeting new people to find out about their country and about themselves. I think the world is getting smaller with the ease we can communicate and keep in touch with friends but at the same time I have found that the simple smile still says the best "Hello".

Not sure whether the english they speak in Sheffield could be considered the Queens english!! Ever tried to understand a Glaswegian?

Before I was 25 I had crossed the States alone a few times by car, and had backpacked solo for two months through Spain and Portugal. People said, "Oh you're so brave" but I never really thought about it while I was doing it.

Good point Sonia, but I mean, the fact that I was in England struggling to understand English was funny to me. Glaswegian... I'm sure I'd be at a loss too .

I love traveling solo.
In fact I being doing that since the age 0f 16 when I traveled overseas by my self, no problem piece of cake!
Going to Tahiti, Bora Bora, Morea by my self next week for two weeks, lucky me .
