Default Is height an issue for you?

I have found that being slightly below average height (I am 5'7), for a man at least, makes it hard to get the attention of women. I find it very hard sometimes to be taken seriously especially by older women. I have all the normal characteristics of a man, I am capable of growing a beard or a mustache (not that I should have a mustache lol) , but I am just shorter than most guys. Tell me what you ladies think, is height an issue?

Oh Jake - height is never an issue for me as I am 5ft nothing! I have had relationships with short men and tall men, and certainly have no preference either way.

It's not an issue for me but it does seem that a lot of women do take a man's (lack of) height seriously: sure, a tall strapping guy might make a woman feel protected, but dynamite comes in small packages!

Thanks guys, confidence booster! And lunamor, I can understand the protection factor, but I train in Aikido, exactly the type of self defense that allows me to put guys a foot taller than me and 100 pounds heavier on their asses

Jake, you sound like dynamite, then -- and your height fits in perfectly in Italy!

YEAH Jake good to know that (trained in Aikido). I'm 5' 6" & when I wear heels I'm abt 5' 9" or 5' 10" depending on how high the heels are (obviously). I've dated men shorter than I am, taller than I am & it really didn't matter to me. The shorter men seem to have had a problem with my height in heels. Honestly don't know why it bothered them if it didn't bother me.

Somehow I think shorter men make more of an effort sometimes? Does that sound sexist? or sizeist?
