Yes it is interesting to say the least, but also very frustrating at times. As far as the grades some of these people have "earned", well I have learned a lot since being in this biz. Some people have their GED or even a high school diploma that they got at some "online school" which really turned out to be nothing more than a "paper mill". Read - NON-ACCREDITED school, so the piece of paper they "earned" is meaningless. This certainly does not mean ALL online schools are that way. The university that I work for is regionally accredited and that is the highest form of accreditation that a school can have. But we have a black list of those "paper mill" schools and if that is where they got their so-called diploma or GED from they aren't coming to our university bc as I said, they are meaningless!
